Our Third (and Favorite) Trip to Italy

A journey with Rick Steves

This was our third trip to Italy—after unforgettable adventures along the Amalfi Coast and through Northern Italy—and somehow it was the best yet. With each visit, Geno and Annette have grown to appreciate guided tours even more, because they love truly understanding what they’re looking at: the history behind the stones, the stories behind the cathedrals, the layers beneath every piazza.

Traveling with Rick Steves' Europe absolutely blew our minds. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and thoughtful, bringing every village, ruin, and museum to life in ways we never could have experienced on our own. We didn’t just see Italy—we understood it more deeply—and that made all the difference.
